# AIS Contributor Portal - Overview

# Purpose
The AIS Contributor Portal is a centralized system that will allow officers to 
- assign tasks
- publish furure intstruction
- collect contributor feedback

#   Why We (AIS) Need This
    AIS will continue to experience influxes of students each semester. 
#   Without a structured system:
- tasks can be unorganized
- generalized progress will be difficult to  track
- contributors will lack clarity on operations
- faculty cannot easily monitor activity

- task assignment and tracking
- instructions and documentation
- feedback submission
- real-time updates
- faculty dashboard for oversight

#   VPS Hosting Requirement
    In order to reliably operate and support real-time functionality while developing
#   The Contributions portal requires VPS hosting for:
- 24/7 accessibility
- secure database storage
- multi-user load handling
- real-time updates
- infrastructure support
